Description: Beachcomber is a spatially deceptive house of traditional brick and block construction with tiled first floor elevations, with UPVC double glazed windows, beneath a pitched tiled and flat felt roof. The property was built by the current owners in 1964 and has over the years been extended and improved providing further living accommodation.
This property is accessed from New Lydd Road over a front circular gravel drive with off street parking for a number of cars and providing access to a central front door.
The accommodation provides an entrance hallway leading though to an open plan living / dining room with side and rear sliding patio doors, with feature wood burner. Accessed from the living room is a south facing conservatory with rear French doors leading out to the rear garden. The kitchen accessed from the dining room has pine wall and base units with laminate worktops, plastic sink and drainer, ceramic hob, integrated dishwasher, fridge and freezer and oil fed Rayburn cooker with boiler that provides central heating and hot water. A smaller rear conservatory is accessed from the kitchen leading out to the garden while adjoining the kitchen is a breakfast room, with connecting door to the living room and through door into a utility room off which is a downstairs loo, and access out to a covered carport with garage door.
Stairs from the entrance hallway lead up to a first floor landing off which is a master bedroom with double aspect windows, built in wardrobes and ensuite shower room/WC, a further two double bedrooms both with rear facing windows and built in wash basins, and a further large single bedroom currently used as an office. A family bathroom is also accessed from the landing with walk in shower, panel bath and vanity unit with built in washbasin and WC. From the first floor landing an access stair ladder leads up to a boarded loft room.
Externally at the rear is a paved seating area looking over a lawn garden with side borders, green house, woodshed, store shed, workshop and garage as well as a rear gated access from Draffin Lane.
To the side of the house is large level lawn garden that has recently obtained planning permission (RR/2019/2464/P) for a detached 3 bedroom eco home. For more information please contact Anderson Hacking.
